Real Time PCR

The Guenther Core Molecular Lab provides a Real Time quantitative PCR service using the ABI Prism 7000 Sequence Detection System. The instrument detects PCR product in real time by measuring fluorescent emissions. The Core provides assistance with probe/primer designing and with the setting up and running of assays. Applications of this technology include: gene expression, microarray validation, cancer quantification, drug therapy, QC, RNAi, pathogen detection, and SNP genotyping.
